01 · The challenge
What the piece had to solve.
The study brings dense archive material and vivid new work into one publication. The challenge is to give each body of content a clear pace while allowing image-heavy spreads to open comfortably.
Editorial production study · 2025
An editorial study combining case binding, section-sewn pages, risograph colour and a removable folded print.
01 · The challenge
The study brings dense archive material and vivid new work into one publication. The challenge is to give each body of content a clear pace while allowing image-heavy spreads to open comfortably.
02 · The response
A paper dummy established bulk and section rhythm before the artwork was final. Stock changes distinguish archive material from new work, section sewing supports the opening behaviour, and the folded riso print serves as both jacket and edition.
03 · The outcome
The publication moves clearly between documentation and saturated new work. Each change in stock, colour or construction corresponds to a change in the content.
