Annual report

Perfect-bound or sewn corporate reporting, including bilingual editions and deadline-led releases. Clear pagination, proof ownership and binding decisions keep production focused.

Specify the binding, proof stages and late-changing pages around the required release date.

A perfect-bound corporate report standing on its spine, bone cover, cracked open so the text block fans, with a coral sprayed fore-edge

A strong fit when

  • The document has a board, a regulator or a shareholder audience
  • Arabic and English have to sit in one object
  • Some sections may be approved close to a fixed release date
  • The report is handed over in a room, not emailed

Consider another format when

  • The content changes monthly; use a digital short run instead
  • The report is under about sixty pages and a saddle-stitched format would open more easily

How it is built

The construction decisions that shape the result.

Cut Crease Assembly
01Binding method
Perfect binding glues the spine and is often efficient above sixty pages. Section sewing usually adds cost but allows a spread to open flatter, which matters for charts crossing the gutter.
02Bilingual construction
Two front covers can meet in the middle, or the languages can be produced as separate books. The first creates one object and one delivery; the second allows each edition to be updated independently.
03Gutter allowance
The inner margin allowed for the area taken up by the binding. Too little allowance can pull figures, labels or image detail into the spine.
04Release control
Some reports are embargoed. Version identification, agreed proof handling and staged delivery can be as important as the printing itself.

Quantities and lead time

Both depend on structure, stock and finish, and quoting them without a live brief would be misleading. Share the job and we will price the specification against your date.

Annual report questions

Useful before we begin.

01How late can artwork arrive and still hit the date?

It depends on the binding, quantity, proof requirements and which pages remain open. We work backwards from the required date and identify the artwork cut-off, including the time needed for binding and packing, before production is committed.

02How do you handle Arabic and English in one report?

Both languages are preflighted in-house. We check reading direction, font output, numeral systems, punctuation, page order and the point where the two sections meet. A pagination dummy can reveal construction issues that are easy to miss when pages are reviewed separately on screen.

Book

Choose a sewn, casebound book when repeated use, opening behaviour and long-term presentation are central to the brief.

Specify the project

Let us shape the right annual report around the job.

Share the contents, dimensions, quantity, finish direction and delivery date. We will identify the decisions that need a sample, proof or structural check.
